Ukrainian wounded & recovering veterans run for Freedom Soldier Field 10 in Chicago!
Together with the Kyiv Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International, we assembled "Friends of Ukraine," runners and volunteers, to display their commitment to the "land of the free" and the "home of the brave", to the Armed Forces that continue to protect freedom in battle.
Ukrainian veterans participated in a round table discussion with the Road Home Program at Rush aimed to introduce them to a successful U.S. veterans’ care program and to come away with ideas to consider for implementation in Ukraine.
The group also visited our partner school in Chicago, St. Nicholas Cathedral School, to participate in an assembly in honor of Memorial Day.
